Bizen-yaki

Bizen-yaki is a style of pottery produced primarily in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture.
It is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, with a history spanning over a thousand years since the late Heian period.
Fired without glaze using only clay and flame, each piece bears unique natural patterns
such as goma (sesame), hidasuki (fire marks), and sangiri (kiln effects), created by the interplay of fire and ash.
Rustic yet powerful, Bizen-yaki grows richer with use — an "art of earth and flame"
cherished for everything from tea ceremony ware to everyday tableware.
